Default Tera Flex Budget Boost and 295 tires

Here is my setup - I am very happy with it. I would have preferred larger tires but I am happy with this size. Toyo Open Country MT 295 / 75 / 17. There is still room for larger tires but I won't have to worry about any rubbing and I wont have to worry about re-gearing. My speed odometer is about 3 - 4 miles off when I copare it to my GPS.

I have the TeraFlex 2.5 inch budget boost and I also installed the BDS rear track bar re-allignmnent. I really recommend the BDS. All works very well and looks sharp. I am currently running the shock extenders on the OEM Rubicon shocks and they work well. I have ordered Rubicon Express longer shocks though.

I am using the OEM Rubicon 7.5 inch wide wheels. That is another reason why I went with this tire size - I think that 315 or 35 X 12.5 inch tires really need wider rims. They will work but I think they would work better with wider rims and wear more evenly. I forgot to mention that I have the SpiderTrax spacers but not sure if they would be totally necessary.

I know this post is useless without pictures so I will post new pictures later.

Hope this post helps give further insight into the multitude of configurations out there!

That sounds like what I want to do with the 17s and 4.10s on my X. What height do those tires translate to in inches? How much loss of power do you feel with the new size?

A little less than 34.5. I don't notice to much difference in power loss at all. But I am old and drive slow.

I've already been told I'm driving my JK like I'm a grandma. Gotta get the first dings and breaks out of the way. Thanks for the pics, looks like a sweet set up.
