Default Teraflex 1.5" Performance Leveling Kit

Have been thinking about putting this on my Rubicon with new shocks. Was wondering if anyone with this on their JK could chime in and say what their likes/dislikes are.

I am no expert, but I did put it on my 07 sahara 4 door a week ago along with OME shocks, for stock to 2". I also put in 1/2" teraflex spacers up front waiting for a new bumper. I like it a lot; it gives me a moderate stance and it rides well with the new shocks, better than stock really. However, caster is now 3.3 on the driver's side and 3.6 on the other, just out of spec range. I plan on getting lower control arms at some point, i thought soon but new tires for our Jetta TDsodden inevitable so further mods willhave to wait until the late summer or fall.

Good news is that I have not had any issues with steering, no flightiness. As others have pointed out to me you don't NEED anything else with is kit, but I think long term it is not a bad idea to adjust the caster back to spec. Some on another thread recommended common sense, that is to try it out and see if you want to add control arms,

When you compare the factory springs with the TF springs it is obvious the improvement, same can be said for the new shocks.

Also a good kit to cut your teeth if your new at doing your own work, like me.

I highly recommend it, it is an improvement over the stock setup. I had it at one field location this weekend and it did nicely, or at least I did notice any issues. It seemed smoother to me on low to moderate terrain.

Thanks for the input. One of the reasons why im getting the leveling kit is because i have the aftermarket front bumber that makes the front end sag.....not a big fan of sagging

I've had mine on since Sept. 2010 and it's been awesome. Good ride on road and nice flex offroad. I added the TeraFlex 1" spacer up front since I have a heavy bumper and winch. Greatly improved over the factory ride.

That's why I got it as well, but according to the TF rep a 1/2" spacer may also be needed (about $36 for pair from northridge) since the kit is supposed to reduce rake. The springs are thicker with more coils. They probably won't have as much sag as stock, won't know until Thursday.

Put this kit on my Rubi 4 door about 7 months ago. Also added a 1/2 inch spacer to the front to make up my bumper/winch sag. I have synthetic rope on my winch so if you have cable you may want to get a 3/4 inch spacer. Mine sits perfect and actually rides and steers better than stock. I can go down the highway for quiet a ways without even moving the steering wheel on a windless day. The extra clearance has also made a big difference while doing some pretty rough off roading. You also don't get so much spring dive coming off of rocks with the Teraflex springs.

For those of you running this kit (coils) can you tell me if I can still run the 17" rubi wheels & tires (255/75/17) without having to install wheel spacers? I know when I had my 2.5" TF lift I needed to run wheel spacers when using the stocks rims due to the swaybar links. Thanks...

I'm running the spacer version, but pretty sure this applies to the coil version as well. The new links that come with this kit are for the front. You keep your stock rear links. So no problem running without spacers. I ran that way for several months.
