Default Teraflex 1.5" Spring Leveling Kit?

Which shock would you run with this kit? When I look at shocks, I notice most shocks are in the range of 2"-4" range of lift. I'm concerned that a shock of that length may to long. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe the teraflex thread reads the stock shocks are fine with this kit.

you can run the stock rubicon shocks, the Old Man Emu, or the Bilstein Heavy Duty. those are all rated for 0" to 2" of lift. the OME are WAY softer than the rubicon. i compared those side-by-side and I could compress the OME about 50% faster than the Rubicon shocks. I have not held the Bilsteins, but I heard they too are 'stiffer' than the OME.

I was looking at the Bilstein heavy duty shocks but they all say 0" lift. I just don't want to get a shock to long or to short.

I sent Teraflex an e-mail and posed this exact question to them. TF responded and recommended the Blistein 5100 series shock.

I have that lift. I ran the stock shocks for a while and it was fine but on the highway at 65mph+ I felt like they were not keeping the front end under control on pot holes and bridge abutments. Was getting some bump steer.

I went with the Bilsteins and am very happy with them. No real noticeable difference until the high speed bumps and then things stay better controlled for sure. You can order them by how much lift you have. I got PN: BS-F4-BE5-E670-H0 for the front and BE5-E671-H0 for the rear. They say they are for 2" lift. I also added the Bilstein steering dampener.

Highway manners are definitely better with this set up. CM

Don't do this! your stock shocks will bottom out... Trust me I tried already If you add the extensions your going to need bumpstop extensions, which isn't good with that small of a lift. You will be slaming into those bumpstop like crazy when off roading.

Well I am not sure if your shocks will work... I have my stock rubi shocks still and they work great with this kit. The only thing is I am losing a little bit of down travel with the stock shocks. So that being said if the shocks you get are 1" - 2" longer than the stock ones you should be fine, if you go any longer than that you will more than likely need extented bumpstops. Find out how long they are and compare that to your stock shocks and that should give you a good idea.

You might just want to find some rubi shocks for sale a call it good.
