HI---I am running this kit and bought a set of used Rubi Shocks for $50 from someone who had upgraded theirs. My Stock Sahara shocks would have been fine...but I figured as long as everything was taken apart it made sense to upgrade.

No Shock Extensions necessary and I get plenty of flex....and great on road performance.

I just need to Trim my Fenders as my 33's Rub

I PM'ed TeraFlex's forum rep with a similar question for the JKU kit and he recomended OME 0" - 2" shocks. Maybe it just depends on who at TeraFlex happens to provide the answer.

It seems me that we would get some direction from Teraflex or one of the vendors on the forum for this kit. There has been enough questions in this regard, but with lots of different answers. Yes the stock shocks will work, but we all know they are lacking. If it was a straight 2" lift all the way around, that would make options alot easier as well. I noticed on one of the other threads that the actual lift from this kit was more like 1" front and a 1/2" rear, which is perfect for my needs, but it has also lead me to scratching my head as to making the right shock selection. A shock that is to long or to short can perform extremely poorly.

Thanks for everyones input. It is greatly appreciated.

PM the vendor if you have questions. If they jump in to much, I could see some on the forum flaming them as "pushing their products". They have a fine line to walk and every customer has that line in a different place.

I personally prefer low key salesmen who are available if I have a question as opposed to one who follows me around yapping away.

I completely understand what your saying and a pushy salesman can be irritating. But what it seems like to some is that a little direction in which way to go with shocks for this application would be a good thing for people thinking about this kit. Heck, give all the shock applications from manufacturers and let the buyer go from there. It's really not the front shocks that are the issue due to its 1"-2" lift range, but it seems like the rear with its very modest lift of 1/2"-1" lift is. Look at post #156.
