Teraflex 3'' Install
After month's of research and countless late nights cruisin' the forum I finally pulled the trigger. I'm installing a 3'' teraflex saterday with front lower & rear upper control arms, and adjustable front track bar. Also installing evo gussets. Any tips or tricks as far as installation? Anyone with personal experience have any helpful advice?
when you are working on the rear think about what you are doing, the instructions make it where you have to install and uninstall a couple things if you follow them exactly. from what I remember most of the headache was related to bolting up swaybar links and maybe rear uppers. Anyway, just think it through. The kit is awesome, you will love it. I got the same one, and just got the rear lowers and front uppers coming this week. congrats, don't forget photos!
Thanks, yea I'll read through the instructions again an take note of what order things should be done in. I've got two friends helping, both of whom are experienced mechanics so hopefully it should go smoothly
I have the same lift, will be replacing all 8 control arms also. I was planning on using WOLs 4 inch tera lift install? Do you think this is the write up best suited for this installing this lift. What differences in installation do you know of.
When you get to the front do the passenger side first. The drag link makes it impossible to get it on otherwise.
I did the driver side first and spent 2 hours trying to get the right side done. I finally emailed WOL and that is what he told me. Had to take the front apart again the next morning.
I did not use coil compressors, I just jacked the opposite side of the axle as high as I could and it was pretty easy... once I figured it out.

To make it easier on yourself and your buddies while installing the front bump stop, lower the Jeep without the springs in the front to rest on the bump stops and the axle. The weight of the Jeep will push those bump stops in and all you have to do is guide them in. Otherwise they are a pain to get in.
