Default Teraflex 3" install problem!!!

Does anyone know what this bracket is for and where it goes? Photo please!!

Nothing in the install instructions and what makes it more fun is Teraflex is open on weekends to ask them this question!

I did notice the front axle is shifted over to far to the drivers side with the stock trackbar in place and either this bracket will fix the issue or I will need a adjustable trackbar asap!

I don' like it when I am told everything you need is in the kit and before I even open the box it has a sticker on the outside stating "If using stock wheels you must purchase wheel spacers"

It is the passenger rear shock mount relocation bracket.

This thread will answer all your questions.

Yep it sure is! I wonder why Teraflex does not have that in their instructions anywhere.

Here's a photo of the Teraflex extra bracket installed...

Thanks a million for everyones help!

It's so cool how we all work together to get these issues solved so quickly.

Another note....If you have the rear trackbar bracket that utilizes the U-bolt to help secure it, you do not need the shock relocation bracket....straight from Teraflex's mouth!!!

Awwww man so now I gotta remove it!

So I didn't need it after all! I looked like there was plenty of room there before I installed it! I am gonna have to call Teraflex on this and let them know about this so they can get it straightened out so the next person that has to complete this install is not wasting their time on this stuff.. There are a couple things that need to be addressed in their instructions as well! There are a couple places in the instructions that a picture would really help!

Thanks Again!

No problem at all man. In fact, I am actually working with Teraflex now to get their instructions revised.

Take Care,
Carl

If your 3" kit came with the new rear trackbar bracket as pictured then you do not need the shock relocation bracket.

Before you mount it check the stock welds around the factory bracket on the axle itself. If the paint is popped off the welds the weld is cracked and you will need to have them re-welded prior to you putting on the new bracket. This is why they made the new bracket.

The new Rear Track Bracket will be shipped to you free if you have purchased a 3" Lift from them in the past and did not receive the newly designed bracket with your kit.
