Teraflex 4" drive line modification
I like the ride and stance. Flex is good, but I had an issue with the rear track bar bracket making contact with the right rear shock under compression. I am still waiting to hear back from them regarding the fix they promised 2 weeks ago.
Did TeraFlex ever get back to you? I know Rand in the R&D department has been working on this and has been talking to someone via email. If not please let me know.
Regarding these new drive shafts it is important to know that they are not like the conventional Jeep shafts we are used to. These drive shafts are smooth even when they are put at angles that are at the edge of their functionality. So being able to go 60, 75 or even 80mph with no vibration is not an indication that they are "ok". Last week in a 2dr 3" lifted JK we blew out a front drive shaft on the first day off road. Pinion angle does not cause as many vibration issues compared to the old standard. If you change over to conventional drive shafts you may need adjustable control arms to get proper pinion angles. The biggest problem we have seen with these drive shafts is when the axles droop.
TeraFlex recommends the drive shafts because of the failures we have seen and the lack of warning offered by the German influenced shafts.
Street Jeeps will see much longer drive shaft life but if you plan any hard off road adventures it would be a good idea to change them.

Yes, that was me. He e-mailed me today and will be sending me some brackets to move the shocks back 1". He said they didn't have problems with their JK at Moab last week, so I must have really been flexing mine out. Thanks.
