Default Teraflex Adjustable LCA Install Help

I just received a set of TF Adjustable LCA. I am stuck on where exactly to measure the lengths. It seems the eye where the bolt goes through on the adjustable part is not centered and moving it is nearly impossible. Both came off-center so how exactly am I supposed to get an accurate measurement?

Also which side are you supposed to measure from, each side kicks out difference measurements.

Does anyone know of a write up for this ? The stuff I found online doesn't show which side to measure from. I assume you measure the center (eye to eye), but since the adjustable eye is off center I can't see how this will be accurate at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Get the johnny joint as close as possible to center, and measure both sides (average of these will be the true center in theory). Feel free to give me a call at the shop if you'd rather chat over the phone - 774.826.9948 x1

Hey Thanks man. So TF instructions say 23 1/8 this is center of each hole, right? Wish I had a vice would make this 1000x easier to move them..

I have an alignment scheduled for tomorrow, so just need to get it there let them deal with fine tuning it.

23 1/8 works, just get it close then take both arms, lay them next to each other and slide two bolts through. This will ensure both match in length.

Another tip, replace one at a time. Put a chuck under the tire so the axle doesn't roll forward. If the holes dont line up jack up under the pinion.
Do the same on the other side. Torque all 4 bolts 125 ft lbs.

Good luck ....!

Heres how i achieved 260+ foot pounds on my jam nuts. I always put plenty of anti-seize on the threads, red loctite under the jam nut.

Thanks for all the help. Finally got them installed, going to have it aligned tomorrow. I lined them up as close as I could get seems pretty close. Handles a lot better, drives straight, not as flighty feeling .. shame I didn't do these sooner.

Hardest part was getting that eye aligned and centered on the adjustable end. Used a bolt through the LCA and my tow hook mount. I was able to move it around and center it doing that haha.

Next purchase will be a vice.
