So I'm about to buy these but I have a question about my d30 I know the rear 44 Takes up 2 quarts what about the front.?

Try this.......

Front Differential Capacity:
2.7 pints (1.35 quarts)

Rear Differential Capacity:
4.75 pints (2.375 quarts)

How do I know if I have that much oil in there? Sorry this is the first time I do this

There is a drain plug on the bottom. I wouldnt worry about messing with it until you have to swap the covers. This is a great write up to follow.

It says 1.35 quarts how do I know if I put enough gear oil though?

You buy the oil in quarts. One full quart - then about a third of a quart.
