Default Teraflex Hood Struts

I was thinking of picking a pair of these up. However I read that they used to bend the hood Hinges and move the hood about 1/4 inch forward. Now these were the older ones. I was wondering if anyone had these installed and had no issues with their hoods bending or sliding forward?

Thanks

Had mine for about a year without a single issue.

Was at the dealer the other day and saw that Chrysler now offers their own version of these. I have no info on them, just putting it out there as another option.

I saw those, made by Mopar, no drilling required. They look really sharp, however the driver side one mounts to the same spot as the bracket that holds my ARB air compressor. I think that might throw off the geometry of the hood strut enough to tweak my hood.

Teraflex; good quality and easy to follow instructions.

It might not reallly matter but I feel like the more detailed the installation instructions are, the higher the quality of the item.
