Default Teraflex LCA Question

Recently installed the OME LT package from Northridge (awesome lift and rides great). Now I'm in the process of tweaking my caster a little bit at a time to find the right balance. Took it to my friend's shop today and had him adjust the caster to 5.5 degrees (5.5 driver's side and 5.4 passenger on the computer after adjusting) and noticed something after the adjustment. The driver's side LCA had five threads showing whereas the passenger side LCA shows nine threads showing. Is such a difference in threads showing a concern? The vehicle otherwise rides nice. No pulling and flightiness seems minimal (hard to tell today as its windy as hell)....

technically, so long as the lengths are the same, no, the amount of thread showing will not make a difference. however, the difference in the amount of threads you are seeing sounds considerable and so, i would take some time to measure the arms to make sure they are in fact the same lengths.

Measured from center to center of each bolt (didn't take the LCAs off) and here's what i got:

Driver side: 22 7/8 center of bolt to center of bolt
Passenger side: 23 1/4 center of bolt to center of bolt.

Yup. In the process of doing that right now.... I'll take it to the shop afterward and see what it looks like on the alignment machine... Thanks again..

Done. Measured them both out to 23" and now they show an equal amount of thread on each side. Wonder what could possibly have happened.. Bad alignment tech, incorrect placement of lasers on wheels. etc?

Thanks again for the help..... This site is invaluable to say the least...

Teraflex tells you to set them at different lengths in their instructions. I'm curious to see how it looks now. Are you gonna put it on the rack again?

I intend to, but no time to do it today. Will have it on the rack by next weekend. Update to follow..

ETA: What are teraflex' recommendations?
