Default TeraFlex Leveling Kit Questions

Since I want to run 33's and just do light trails I think the TeraFlex Leveling Kit is my best option.

If I purchase this kit should I purchase front sway bar disconnects or will I not need those for light trails?

Also, am I going to need an alignment after I do this? or is there any reason to visit a mechanic after install?

Any other info is appreciated.

Default You don't "need" them, but it couldn't hurt

I installed the Performance leveling kit on my 2dr and put 33" Duratracs on a month or two ago. I am getting a set of quick disconnects after the fun I had reconnecting after the topless for ta-tas trip. I dont think you "need" to disconnect for light trail use. I noticed that airing down and disconnecting makes the ride a lot easier though. It takes me about 10-15minutes to disconnect right now. I didn't need to get an alignment or anything after I put the leveling kit on. I did need to get the new tires and wheels balanced though.

Thanks for the info. I'm guessing this is the kit you installed? http://www.teraflex.biz/jk-wrangler-...it.html#second

Also, do you have any photos with the leveling kit and 33 Duratracs? I'd love to see it!!

I have the performance leveling kit. It's the one with coils, not just spacers (http://www.teraflex.biz/jk-1-5-perfo...-kit-1424.html). I can't seem to find a good picture on this computer. I'll try and get one up later tonight

you will be fine with 33' tires with the leveling kit as long as you dont have a heavy front bumper/ winch if you do it will rub the fenders on tough trails if you have diconects and are disco'd. You dont need sway bar discos for easy trails but they are nice to have... i dint have to do any re alighnment after the level kit install hope this helps

I'm running some good gnarly trails with the 2/1 teraflex level, 285 tires and not disco'ed. I think installing shocks, and selectable lockers much more effective for trail running than sway bar mods. Rock crawling, a totally different story.

Sorry if this picture is not the best. I just took this out on the parking garage, hope it gets the point across.

Karl, I run down and measure that for you in just a bit

Talk to Dave @ Northridge on the deal. He can hook you up with the TF Leveling Kit and the remaining hardware for the quick discos to save a little cash. Don't need to sets of sway bar links.

It's right around 27" to the top of the RR bumper. I'd imagine if my tires were actually 33" it might be a little taller. Next time I have to buy tires, I'm gonna get a size up. Hope this works

TeraFlex leveling kit and 33" Duratracs. My Jeep came with performance spring / shock group and factory hardtop so it sits up a little taller than some.

Great ride w/ good off road performance!
