Default Teraflex, RE, or Clayton??

Teraflex, RE, or Clayton??

I am down to the final debate for my automatic unlimited Rubicon. I am going to be running 37's and this will be my daily driver. What is everyone's opinion to which lift is best and why? If you have pics that would be great also. Thanks for everyones help.

I had an RE kit on my old TJ. It was okay. Personally, I'd narrow it down to Clayton and Teraflex and then do a by point comparison. Decide what's most important and weigh those and see who comes up on top.

I chose Clayton.

Clayton for the Johhny Joints. Not that there is anything wrong with TF; it's just that Clayton and Currie are in a class by themselves.

I've got the 3.5 RE with 35's and I'm not rubbing. I think I could easily put 37's on if I modified the plastic liners at the rear of the rear fenderwells. The RE kit gave me 4.5" in the front and 3.5" in the rear. Because we go out for a week at a time and carry a lot of gear I replaced the rear springs with rear springs from the RE 4.5 LA kit. And I did cut the pinch welds at the front of the rear fenderwells.

If I were to do it all over again I'd drop the extra nickle on the Clayton kit. Both Clayton and Currie come in 4.5" flavors and neither feel long arms are necessary - I called both and asked when I was looking.

I am running a RE superflex short arm with 4.5 suspension and a 1 inch BL. I have no rubbing at all with 37's. I have swapped out the shocks on my RE kit to maximize the travel between full compression and full droop. I am running their front long arm shocks (11.25 inches travel) with 2 inch bump stops and another manufacturer from SLO, ca for the rear shocks to give 11.25 inches of travel w/ 2 inch bump stops. The thing is flexing out nearly perfect for a 4.5 suspension lift on 37's, meaning I am using the full shock on compression and droop.

If I did it over I would probably by it piece meal and build it mixing the best from each manufacturer.

I'm running a 4" TeraFlex LA kit with 37's on mine. If you have any questions on our product give me a call.

It would be pretty embarassing to work for TeraFlex and show up with someone elses lift wouldn't it?
