Make sure you use plenty of lube on the nutsert and the tool EVERYTIME you install one and that will make the process go smoothly. I put the Teraflex sliders on mine and even with oil things got a little sticky by the last one. Don't feel bad about not useing the oil it's not something they tell you and I only new it because I had gotten burned in the past. Once you get them on you'll love them they hold up very well and keep the crap from flying up on the sides.

I got mine through a reputable shop here in town. It took about 4 days to get in, and that was the other day. i am getting them installed tomorrow, so a total of 5 days

he quoted me 440 + 140 for the install so 580...i guess thats reasonable..i dont really know

I ordered mine from Quadratec.... about a week I paid 500 and change plus shipping to Northern alberta, canada. I think it was about 650-700 to my door! That and our CDN dollar wasn't as strong as it is currently so I thought it was a pretty good deal. 'till I started installing them! ARGH!

Thanks guys, it looks like Quadratec has them for $399.99 and $40 for shipping

Now I just need to decide if I want them, Im a little worried about them being aluminum.
I can handle scratches from rocks, but I'd be a little upset if I dent one or gouge it bad.

Has anyone beat theirs up on rocks yet, if so how do they hold up?

I ordered mine through 4wd.com in June because the told me they had them in stock. It turned out that had the TJ sliders mislabeled. They shipped me the wrong TJ sliders twice. 8 Months later they right ones finally arrived. They should be in stock most places now.

You shouldn't have to pay for them until they ship, so if they are back ordered you just wait.

The Teraflex sliders weight about 20lbs each. They are marginally heavier that the stock steps.

I've hit mine pretty hard and they didn't dent in at all. I have gouged them pretty good on the (underside were it is not visable) dragging across rocks and such but nothing I didn't expect with aluminum. A little Krylon rebuild and they look good as new.

bump

Mine just came in the mail so I'm getting ready to install and the Teraflex instructions are pretty basic. Does any one else have some helpful experience with the install? What are the tricks to make this go smoothly?
