Id like to get a few more opinons about how tough they are. Im about to give up on poison spyder. I like the look of these if they are tough enough. The rock hard ones look about the same and are steel but cost alot more.

I can post the pics of mine in the box before I sent them back to quadratec! The ones I got were already banged up and for $400 I want to put all the dents and scratches on them myself. Box was also missing some of the hardware. They look stout but does make me a little concerned they may dent easily on the trail. I'm still going to go this route so will get a replecement set sent and try again....

Default Rockguard fun!

Masking off will help your marking, and keep from banging up your flenders and paintwork. The corners of the sliders are sharp!

Get your game face on, you are going to drill your jeep. The metal is thin, don't let the bit wonder, otherwise your nutserts will not be holding on to a whole lot of the sheetmetal. I marked the drill as to how deep I needed to go. However the nutsert gets shorter when tightened down on, so you don't need to go that far.

Holes in your Jeep!
[IMG][/IMG]

The tool needs a little lube on it for easy operation. Paint your holes, before putting the nutserts in. I also put in a silicone glue when I put the nutsert in, thus increasing the insurance factor. Make sure the nutsert goes in straight, and you tighten it down straight. If not, you will have to take the slider off, as your bolts will not line up!!
[IMG][/IMG]

When you mount these things, put a little silicone in the hole when you screw the bolts into the nutserts...... this will seal the area a whole lot more, and improve corrosion resistance. Do the same when you push the six bolts through the bottom of the jeep..... paint, silicone, enjoy.
The cool thing about these, is that they offer rocker protection, hide the pinch weld/seam, keep mud off the sides of your jeep, keep your door handles clean, and prevent stone chips down the sides of the jeep, including the door hinges.......And your wife thinks you bought them as a step for her!!!!

Well, this last shot is just to show the front of my Jeep!

Work accurately, be careful, and once the first 3 holes are in..... you will be cruising!

Cheers

Paul

Those look great. How sturdy are they when you stand on them? Can you feel them move? Do they make noise when driving on rough roads?

They don't budge at all. No noise either . They have a rubber gasket that goes against the bodywork, and I siliconed that as well, so no debris works its way into the bodywork /slider join. I like them a lot, finish is excellent, and don't have any negatives to say about them.

Cheers (BTW, your Jeep is awesome!)

Default Teraflex Sliders.

That green jeep looks like mine with all that TF stuff on it. When I put my sliders on I used the tape behind but held them in place with a floor jack underneath and drilled all the holes so there was no way for them to be in the wrong spot.
