Terra grappler
I just happened to see this post, sorry for the late response. I have about 26,000 miles on my LT295/70/R18 E 129Q Nitto Terra Grapplers. Great ride and good traction on and off the road. The only difficulty I had on the trail was trying to get up a rock right after going through a mud hole. The threads didn't throw out the mud quick enough, but did get up and over the rock after a couple tries.
As far as snow, I had to bring my wife to a hospital in the east coast blizzard just before the storm stopped on 12/27/10. I was able to get though about 18 miles of the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County, NJ mostly unplowed. I also had 7 or 8 miles of mostly unplowed local streets in Tinton Falls and Neptune,NJ. There were cars, buses, snow plows, emergency vehicles and some Jeep JK's stranded and unable to move because of the depth of the snow (20 - 25 inches) on the parkway and local streets. It took about 1 1/2 hours for a normal 30 minute trip. Along the way my wife wanted to know if I was taking her wheeling or to the hospital! Once I got to the hospital my wife told me that the lift and the tires owed me nothing.
Most of my driving is on the road. I would get the tires again.
