Default terragrapplers vs rain?

I have a set of 295 70 17s terragrapplers and it seems they under preform in the rain. I feel like I'm hydroplaning everytime I hit a puddle. It rains a lot here in FL so I need to see if I should get diff tires.

i run mine about 40 i have hit some large puddles as the roads here flood badly and i havent had any issues , also on the highway during a storm i have not felt insecure these tires have lots of siping that helps with wet road issues. they are rated to like 80psi though and if you are running real high pressure that could be your problem in that you would have less footprint , im not sure jus my guess

I ran 295/75/16 Terra's in both Texas and Colorado with no issues. But from past trips to Florida, I remember the rain storms there to be quite a bit more severe than what I see out here, so you could very well have a different experience. What you might try is posting this question in your regional forum in the Staging Area, and see if anyone else down there will chime in.
