Default TF 2.5" Coil Question regarding front shock adapters

So they provide a washer to put on the front shock adapter before the stock bushing, but there is atleat 3/4 of space between the two. What does this provide other than a rattle when off roading.

They also say to put the stock bushing from the upper front shock frame on after that bushing. Do the mean leave it on top or move it to the shock adapter as another spacer?

please help TF customer service isn't that great. Although they told me they were revising their crappy instructions. Pictures of front shock w/adapters would be great.

thanks in advance

TF not good customer service You can call Joe at his house at 2am waking his newborn and he will help you out!

That being said, they are a sponser here. I have not used the adapters so I don't want to mislead you. PM Joe at TF and he will give you a call and walk you through it I promise!!

I'm not running spacers but as for the coil get a pry bar or coil compressor. Have someone lift the opposing side while you are putting it in

Did you not get the pic that I sent to your cell phone (last 4 digits 0177) about 35 mins ago? Install order: large washer, stock shock bushing with large center hole, body, stock rubber bushing with raised center installed pointing down, washer, nut.

sounds like you put the wrong washer on first

It may help you to get the coil in by using a Jack on the other end of the axle, then push th passenger side down with your foot. Spring compressors make it slot easier.

you have too much stuff there

The washer with the big hole goes first then the stock rubber bushing
It will compress down where it supposed to be when you tighten it up.
Then the other washer goes on top under the nut.

As for the coil... be sure the axel is dropped all the way then have someone step on the hub to push is down further, that should do the trick.

If you have problems getting the bump stop extensions in like I did just bend the little tab in with some channel locks then drive them back once you get the extensions in.
