TF 2.5 or RE 2.0??
Opinions please...
My '08 JK 2 dr X is riding on 285/75-16 BFG MT KM2's. My rear fender flares rub a little when out on the trail, more if loaded with extra fuel and camping gear. I don't want to trim the fender flares, nor do I want larger tires than what I have now.
I've read over what I can find on the subject and am still scratching my head... so I'm asking for opinions on which lift to get. I use my JK as a DD and go off road on easy to medium rated trails 1~2 times a month.
Cost not being a factor, which would you guys go with:
- Teraflex 2.5" BB coil spacer w/shock extenders??
- Rubicon Express 2" BB coil spacer w/longer Monotube shocks??
I'm leaning towards the 2" RE lift... your opinions please, and why??

I have the RE 2in BB and love it. I run 33in Coopers and have plenty of room. The tires stuff up nicely and I have no rubbing at full flex. If spacers is the way you want to go then you wont be disappointed with the RE. The shocks ride much better than stock X shocks.
If you don't mind me asking...kindly advise how much total did this lift cost you including installations?

I'm getting them the first thing tomorrow morning at a local 4wd shop. I'll give you a first impression sometime later tomorrow. I'm also going with JKS Quicker Disconnects. Don't have the $$$ for better gears. In reality, the 3:21 gears aren't that much worse with the larger tires I'm running over the stock Rubi tires that were on it.

I did some more research... I'm going with the RE 2.0" kit because of the longer shocks. Somehow the TF 2.5" kit with the shock extenders sounds a tad ghetto to me.

I have the teraflex bb on my daily driver with 33 inch cooper stt tires. I also do some mild wheeling a couple times a mounth. I have had no issues with the lift what so ever. The ride was a little stiffer at first, but you get used to it, the flex is amazing from stock to this set up. I also have the tf quick disco's, very easy and fast to use. My vote is for terflex
I'm a LONG time Rubicon Express fan. I bought my first lift from them in 1998.
But the TF 2.5" BB kit with shocks is a better kit for performance. Longer rear sway links, drop bracket for the brake lines, and the rear track bar bracket all add up to better performance in a budget boost.
The RE kit is inferior. And it pains me to no end to say that.

I paid $350 for the kit. Did the install myself in my garage. Very simple install took about 2 hrs all you need is basic tools and some tall jack stands. Before I did it myself I was quoted 200 for the install from my local shop.
