After reading through the write-ups, it kind of makes me want to install a lift myself. Instead having a shop do it. It just seems doable, and fun, even for someone who's never done more with a car than change the oil...

I'm still trying to decide between the various combos of the TF 2.5" BB. Also thinking of the 2.5" kit with coils and shocks (don't mind waiting on the coils) or the OME 2" because I've heard good things about the ride. I don't do too much off-roading (not too many places in Jacksonville, FL). I want 35" tires and a decent feel on the road. And I like the feel of the current stock suspension.

So... does all that put me at the basic BB, keeping the stock coils and shocks? Or is there improvement in the DD ride to be had by going with a kit that includes shocks and coils, given what I'm going to be doing?

Also... I kind of like the idea of the OME kit, but it sure does seem to be less complete than the TF kits.

Thanks... Ralph

Thinking about it. My only question though is with what's included in the OME kit (versus the TF 2.5" kits), is there anything else that I will have to replace that's not included? At least in the near-term. Thanks... Ralph

So... to clarify: The OME kit = 4 spring/4 shocks. Nothing additional?
With the TF kit, many people say this is "complete" as it comes with rear sway bar links/track bar bracket. Is there no need for front sway links or proper track bar length - why only rear hardware? <I'm also researching my build before I take the plunge>. Thanks in advance for input.

For the Teraflex kit you move the rear sway bar links to the front (as the stock rear ones are longer than the front) and then add the new ones to the back.

However, if you don't have the electronic disconnect, I would highly recommend getting a set of quick disconnects for the front. That was my first mod on the jeep, and well work it after having to sawzall the old nut / swaybar link off.

ps, I just purchased the OME kit based on all the good reviews here and talking to Dave at Northridge. I didn't have time to wait on the Teraflex which I originally wanted as I am headed to a trail run in two weeks. I will post up pics once its done.

So did you have to buy anything else to go along with the kit, or is what's included all that's needed? Have fun with the install...
