Is there anyway to lock these down?
I ordered the shovel and axe hood mount...

My question is, can these be locked down somehow, so someone does not walk off with them? Is there a locking wing nut or something I could use?

You have seen pad locks with the real long shank (U-shaped part)..Can you drill a hole in the plates that the bolts and wing nuts go through and use a pad lock like that? The lock part would be pointing up to the elements though but the only way i could see to get the shovel and axe off would be to rotate the lock part out of the way and un-screw the wing nuts. sorry if it's hard to understand... i wish i could draw it.

yes you can leave them at home locked in somewhere, somehow. do you honestly need an axe and a shovel everyday. I'm afraid to ask what you do for a living, do you work with tony?

Nice graphic btw!
The only problem I see with that is someone could loosen the wingnuts enough to probably slip the tools out the side... unless the shovel had some sort of handle on the end.
I could have sworn I saw a large plastic screw-on knob that had a lock integrated into it somewhere. I'll see if I can find it again.
