Nothing like saying you did it. Hopefully I will be able to say that sooner rather than later. Thanks for the input.
Even if you do have an impact bad enough to crush the sleeve, which I doubt.... dont use it!
Once the sleeve starts to crush that badass impact will most likely over crush it, pinion pre-load needs to be really close.
If you over crush it, the sleeve is garbage and you can expect to smoke a coupe of pinion bearings if you run it to tight, which will also fry your gear oil then the gears...
Enjoy your day

Did my install yesterday. It was.my first install but it went well. The only issues was the bolt for the ring gear. Other then that we didn't use a case spreader. And I made a pinoin hold back tool. We used and impact to get our pinoin bearings set. Then used a huge beamed bar and pipe to get the crush sleeve to crush. It was a fun job. If you are very good about following steps and thinking logically its not that bad of a job.

I did and I have to say that I hate crush sleeves. Holy crap it takes a lot to crush one. The only issue I had was pinion nut related. It's a bitch to take of and a son of a bitch to put back on :-) everything else was cake work...
