Question Thinking about the disco...

So...

Im making my plans to attend the meet and greet in PA next month and was thinking about the DIY quick disco mod when it occured to me...

I have a 2.5" BB and 33" tires... do i need to extend my brake lines or use some sort of limiting strap OR just not disconnect at all?

any input would be extremely appreciated!

Have you disconnected and seen if it will be a problem, I have a 2" bb and there is enough slack in the brakelines that it isn't a problem when I am disconnected and flexed out. You just want to make sure your shocks are limiting you down travel, not your breaklines.

you should be fine, im running a 2.5 and disco, the travel of your shocks/ stock control arm should limit the amount of flex and not over stretch your brake lines/ abs lines.

I have a 2.5BB, discos and 33's. I haven't had any problems. There isn't enough flex for there to be a prob.

thanks pastor steve, there is a LONG line of people who want to help me....

oh wait, you mean about the disco question....

so, i went to the home depot to but the parts for the DIY Quick Disco MOD... the 7/16" hitch pins are WAY too small so im going back in the morning. once i get the disco set up, im going to a local parking lot that has some boulders in the corners that im gonna FLEX on and see what happens!

wish me luck.... damn, im nervous!!!

When you get your kit, please post what size worked. I'm going to do the set up also.

steve, it looks to me that a 1/2" should do the trick. it seems as all the fasteners are metric, so im gonna look for the metric equivalent while im there....

i will definitely let you know!
