thinking of trading
Couple of things:
1) Wow! A six year loan on an already 4 year old vehicle? That's another issue all together.
2) So the other Jeep is 26k and they are giving 19.5. That's $6500 plus the difference in what you currently owe and 19.5 trade in value. Add those together and that's about what it's actually costing you here. (plus or minus some in finance charge differences).
My guess would be you could probably do better modding your current ride.

It is so hard to tell where you lose out on the deal with so many differences between the two jeeps and what you would have to spend to build yours up. I would look at
1. Aboslute price difference between your trade and the new Jeep
2. The financing cost difference between continuing with your current payment plus adding on a few more months (shouldn't be huge AND you are still in a historic low interest rate environment so you should be able to geta good rate)
3. Cost to build your current Jeep - estimate it something like
- Lift cost - $1000
- Tires and wheels - $2000
- Other mods already done - you said the other Jeep drives better even with the bigger tires? Maybe it's already regeared? Need to find out as that can save you $1500.
So 1+2-3 = What??

Im just itching for a lift and goodies. The other thing is my wife and i are trying to have kids( a lot of money!) And i really dont want to go and spend 5 grand right now. It would be easier to just pay the same and have an awesome rig. I need to check on the gearing thing. It really did run better and there was no od issues on the highway

It will cost you so much more in the long run...almost every person has said DON'T DO IT, but you're still sounding like you want to do it, all because you're itching for a lift, sounds like your mind is made up....anyone with some sense will tell you no, but it's ultimately up to you.
Wait and be money conscious, or burn a ton of cash up on an overpriced unknown because you're impatient.
Not trying to sound like a dick, just hate seeing people put themselves in financial holes because they don't understand their finances.
You're worried about paying for a new baby, but you wanna tack on like 6k to the life of your loan?

I agree with everyone else, build yours slowly and then you know what you have. Watch your debt to income ratio.
I sold my 2011 and bought a 2013 because of warranty covered issues, otherwise I would have kept my built 2011.
