I'm also looking into doing the L.E.D fire & ice strip. it has directionals, reverse, & brake light. Maybe put it right in between the bumper and tailgate.

All great ideas, I am not concerned with any smart asses- bring it on! I for one do not intend to remove my hard top that often, whether changes too much in Va beach. However, when I do, thought about just having a temp one, still looking at a few choices, there was one cool one that connects to the wheel carrier.

Everytime I swing my tire out I look at the concoction they provided and just shake my head- it is the only disappointment I have in the Jeep.

I think I should just be able to reroute existing wiring and lengthen it to reach up the inside of the top around the window. Yes, was planning on drilling through the hard top.

Was hoping someone else did this already. I have learned so much on this site from other peoples ideas.

I thought about those LED lights some pick ups are using between the bumper and tailgate, look cool at night but need to go see what they look like during the day. I dont want cheap and flimsy.

Keep the ideas coming fellas.

Also check your MV laws. In NJ the 3rd brake light has to be higher than the other 2 brake lamps.

Hey flippersjeep, I had mentioned the LED wire because of my set up. I forgot to mention that I will have no spare tire. The back of the jeep will be clean. If you have the spare tire this will not work because it will be barley visible. I'm still waiting for my lift and remove my tire carrier. I wont probably get to it for probably another month.

I'm really surprised no one posted this. It was in the "What was done to your JK..." thread. I asked him for a write up on it but he never responded.

You have this option too:

The second one is what I'm going for.
