Yes, I understood that, and wasn't arguing with your post. Just added some info, in case someone thought that 37"s can be a simple solution that solves all.

whatever do you mean? Of course just slapping 37's on anything solves everything. They look good on my Volvo, although, my MPG dropped. Now I'm mad.

I wouldn't generalize so much... 37"s reduced the range of my neighbors' Prius to 8 miles, and they tripled the 0-60 time on another ones' Ferrari...

They're so good that even just 2 of 'em is a huge improvement.
37's at the rear and stock at the front, and there's no need for a spotter.

I have a stock 09 jku and want a small lift to fit 33s with no problem. I am looking at a Teralex leveling kit but I am also wondering about Rubicon shocks and springs (like 18/59). Would one be better than the other? What would be a better investment? Thanks!

Mostly on road, but we do some offroad trips (no crazy rock climbing), trails, etc Here is what I am looking for 1)Good road manners/handling. My wife hates my old YJ with 4 in lift because it is tough for her to drive. 2)Want to maintain /keep driveline intact. Looking for long term dependability 3)Increase off road capability over stock 4)Want to runs 35s with no rubbing Research so far is pointing me to AEV 2.5 with correction brackets. thots? A buddy is steering me toward metal cloak, but it seems like a bit of over kill for my application and not sure about the road manners Also with 4.10s and manual be okay with 35s Thanks in advance

Thought I would close the loop......

Pulled the trigger and did the AEV 2.5 with geo brackets installed. Running 315/70/17 GY Duratrac tires on Fuel OffRoad Hostage rims. Overall ride quality is really good for a lifted jeep. It is good, but don't let the fan boys fool you by telling you it better than stock, the Jeep has a little more "bounce in its step". . Might be because I am running stock bumpers . That said drives, tracks and handles very nice for what it is. I have driven numerous lifted vehicles (jeeps and trucks) and I have to say no regrets on road with the purchase so far... Wife is happy with the ride, which was a requirement . Looking forward to an off road trip!

Jeep is a JKUR manual with 4.10s... So far 4.10s seem to get it around town nicely. With the bigger tires, It is a little slower off the line and you need to shift down from 6th going up hills. I am going to continue to watch and determine if I want to "solve" it with 4.56 or 4.88s Overall first impression... GOOD PURCHASE!
