Default Throttle body spacer

Anyone have any experience with a throttle body spacer on their JK? I am considering buying one for $200 with the hopes of improving fuel economy and throttle response.
Thoughts and comments are appreciated.

There is no way I'd pay that much for a spacer. It might help a little in the areas you sited, but not $200 worth. For that money you're well on your way to a programmer, which you might already have, for all I know.

I Google'd and found an OBX spacer for $55US, which, for what you're buying seems much more in line.

I had the Airaid tb spacer on mine for about a week, then shit canned it!!!
Worst mod I tried so far.... no gains at all, and made a terrible whistle noise that about drove me nuts!!!
Spend you're money on something else... like a Superchips flashpaq, or off road lights or something that will give you some return......
But if you just have to have a tb spacer, I still have the one I took off, will sell CHEAP!!!

I bought the airaid intake and throttle body spacer. I already had exhaust on my jeep when I got it. I like the sound of the CAI, but I really don't have a lot of great things to say about the spacer. It does whistle and took me about a month to get used to it. I didn't really notice that much gain or mileage from it. I would not buy this Mod again, but I haven't taken it off b/c I paid for it and dont think I could sell and make my money back.

I just installed my Superchips Flashpaq last night, and this by far is the best thing I've done for HP gain. It is something you can truly feel and makes my jeep more fun to drive. Before OverDrive was useless. This morning I drove to work (25 miles) and only downshifted one time. It's no V8, but feels like it did before my lift and tires. Also, got mine from Northridge4x4. Best price on them around!!

I have the spacer and I think there was a bit more of a throttle response when I first put it on, but who really knows. As for $200, you can do a hell of a lot better than that. Also, I agree that the Flashpaq has been the best upgrade for the JK as of yet. I also tried the Fitch Fuel Catalyst (insert laughter here), and it has not reaped impressive rewards, if any at all. Having said that, it seems that the JK is not going to break 20 mpg unless you drive it downhill all day with a 20 mph wind at your back. Enjoy it for what it is, an awesome off-road vehicle and a sense of freedom that is unparalleled.
