Default Tie Rod End Help

Hello everyone, upgraded to 35s and went for an alignment and said all of the front tire rods are garbage - JK has 80k and I just had a 2.5" coil lift with shocks put on 3 months ago.

Should I get a 2nd opinion or is this possible?

I don't off road and it is my DD... just figured maybe I would post something on here - could it be I need to re-torque the lift? Really wasn't in the mood to spend $ right now!

Any feedback is appreciated -

Tie rod ends are an easy fix (and not too expensive) if that is in fact what needs replacement. You can do them yourself...

Btw, there is only 1 tie rod of which it has a left and right tie rod end.

It's pretty simple at 2 nuts that hold the entire thing on. Take the nuts and back them so that they are just slightly raised above the joint stud, and tap them down with a hammer, they pop right out.

Then, get MOOG or something to replace them. On Rock Auto you can order Moog tie rod and tie rod end for under $150. Set them on the floor and do your best to make them similar in length (center of joint cup to center of joint cup, use the back side, not the stud side) and put the new moog pieces in. Tighten the tie rod stud nuts, make sure you tighten the adjuster sleeve nuts, and your done. It should take you about 30 minutes out in your driveway with very basic hand tools. No special tools required.

MOOG ES800594 $34.99
MOOG DS300043 $110.79

Check those part numbers on Amazon, often times Rock Auto has their stuff on Amazon with free shipping so it's cheaper.

Then take it in for a proper alignment.
