Hey guys. Im at a loss right now and I have to work the next 3 days and can't take it to a shop yet. When I start it up in the AM (below freezing in my neck of the woods )it idles fine, but when I put it in gear and go, I get a tink tink.. After a few blocks it goes away (I baby it until goes away)

2007 JK X
2dr
Manny Tranny
4" lift
35" tires

Getting ready to be installed
All 8 adj ctrl arms
F/R Drive shafts
F/R adj track bars
Ext sway links
Rear coil perches
These parts are sitting in my living room just waiting!

Near future
Dif overhaul kits with 4.88's possibly lockers at the same time
Rear axleshafts

I know you guys can't give me a 100% answer with out digging into it, I was just looking for somewhere for my mechanic to start.

When was the last time you changed your trans and dif fluid?

I didn't even think of that. I had tunnel vision after putting in this lift thinking that it was related. I'll check it myself. Its prolly something simple like that. Thanks

Thanks again, I changed out all the fluids (tcase tranny diffs) and it was still there. Come to find out it was my rear dshaft, needed to be upgraded after the lift. Thank you again for opening my eyes to the obvious regular maintainence. The diff fluids were kinda thin but no metal shavings and all was intact. The tcase and tranny fluid seemed fine, but it needed to be done anyway. Thank you again

Mine did the exact same thing and it was my front drive shaft

Yea, I ASSumed it was the front too, from everything I have read. Took it off, and still was there. Drove like that for a day, then did all the upgrades. Just happy its gone!
