Default TIPM problems?

I have read several post of faulty TIPM or TIPM ground causing strange electrical problems. My 2013 JKU Rubi has intermittent issues such as windshield wipers coming on when I'm turning corner or turn blinker on. Also AC fan motor will turn off for 3-4 seconds about once or twice a week when blower is on high. Lastly, 4-5 times in last year jeep will start for about three seconds then turn off. When I try to restart, nothing happens, no noise or anything. If I take the key out of the ignition then reinsert it, it starts right up. Any ideas? Of course when I take it to dealership they say they can not replicate the problem.

Strange electrical behaviors are usually caused by bad grounds, low battery voltage, or a bad TIPM.

The start and shut off in a couple seconds is usually a problem with the wireless control module, or the WCM not recognizing the key.
This is often fixed by disconnecting the battery negative terminal for a minute.

A lot of people have noticed the AC fan pause. It happens on mine during the first minute or two of driving when the outside temp display reads 75 degrees. It is separate from the other issues. Nobody knows why it does it but it does not seem to affect anything other than you notice it.
As far as the intermittent problems. Check the battery connections and all the grounds you can find. Test the battery and charging system. If the Jeep is under warranty the dealer can load test it for you if you don't have the equipment. Outside of warranty, most auto parts places will also check it for free. Like the previous poster said, low voltage can cause these issues. If all of this checks out, then the TIPM could be bad. My brother in law was experiencing similar issues with his 2013 and after a TIPM swap, his Jeep has been trouble free.

What's previously been posted--I also think there are a couple different problems at work here. Definitely have that battery load tested. I've seen '12 batteries going out causing weird electrical issues, but generally related to the dash displays. The '13s can't be far behind. The wiper/horn/stall issue does sound more TIPM related. I've had similar twice now. Each time I pulled the TIPM, pushed in on all of its fuses, relays and circuit breakers, cleaned (with BrakeClean) all of the connections, and put it all back together. And both times the problems stopped. So, if all else fails, you might try that.

While I think this will help solve part of your problems, I don't expect it will help with the AC or the Jeep stalling after a few seconds problem. For that latter, try a different key. And next time it does it, see if the small red light is on by the fuel gauge. This unassuming and unlabeled light tells you that the Jeep has gone into anti-theft mode, stalling the engine because it thinks an unauthorized key has been used to start it. A new key may help. Or Ron's advice about the WCM being bad is worth investigating.

Thanks for the help. I've had it in the dealership several time and they say they cant reproduce the problems. I have also had the battery replaced about 6 months ago. Problems have
happened before and after new battery. I'll check all grounds and if that doesn't help i'll take back to dealership and try and get them to replace TIPM.
