Default Tips?!? Taking my hard top off today!

Hi there,

I'm taking my hard top off today for the first time and setting up my soft top. Are there any tricks or tips I should know before I get half way in and wish I would have done something first?

Thanks!

Find a friend. Or, alternatively, find two, and simply supervise.

Have a cap ready for the rear washer fluid nipple after you take the hose off..even though the hose has it's own plug.
Figure out ahead of the help arriving how to unplug the wiring harness there as well. If yours is as big a pain to get off as mine was the boys will be too drunk off your beers to carry the top away without dropping it by the time you get it unplugged.

Just make sure the red tab lock is released and then it's a piece of cake to unplug. The owners manual explains how it should look.

If you have a socket adapter for a cordless drill, and a Torx socket for the bolts, this will make removing the bolts a breeze. The only thing difficult about it, is lifting it off if you don't have a lift.

Another option that works great for me.

Yah I'm talking after I did the red tab thing. Mine was some stubborn and I still really don't know what the problem was but then when I was about ready to smack the thing it freed up.
