Default tire balancing

Hey guys I've been running balancing beads in my 35'' GY MTR's with atx slab beadlocks and recently wanted a shop to make sure they were balancing out correctly. They did a road force balance and added actual lead weights. Is this ok to do without removing the beads? I've done some reading and have not really come up with much. It just seems like by adding weights it would defeat the purpose of the beads. Im getting a slight shake in my steering wheel at around 55mph so i feel like theyre not balancing correctly. Any info will be appreciated!

You can balance tires with beads in them but the balancer must spin very fast and for a long time. By default the Road Force balancer does not do this. I learned the hard way that beads do not remove lateral (side-to-side) balance issues. This can only be done with rim mounted weights or tire shaving.

My guess is they made your situation worse. I would remove the beads and just do the Road Force.

At some point man, you just put a brick on the gas pedal, throw it in drive, and let it find a new home at the bottom of Lake St. Clair.

Shoot, if the tires are off, may as well put some 37" shoes on.

Out of curiosity how did you go about removing the beads?
