Default Tire question?

I am going to go with a 3.5 inch lift for my 2013 two door JK. I have been told by many people that I should run 33" tire and that if I go with 35"s I will have to re-gear. So my major question is this true cause I want 35's?

You should post this in the Modified section. Is it stick or an auto. You may have to regear with 35s. There are a few members saying 4.56s

I have looked into it near me, the parts can run $400-$600 and it'l be around $1200 for labor. thats what I have gotten asfar as quotes near me. I have also been told it is VERY easy to mess up so unless you really know what you're doing you should not try it yourself

I would think you would want to re-gear. I am running 4.10's and 35's and could not imagine 3.73's especially if your going to do any off-roading. If it's just going to be a Mall Crawler you might be OK but otherwise I would plan on the added expense.

you will need new drive shafts as well since you are an auto two door. lifting it over 2 inches will cause the drive shaft boots to rub on the transmission skid.

33s are a lot bigger than you think. Mine are being put on tomorrow and to look at those compared to stock is a HUGE difference. I wouldn't go 35s without re-gear. Also need to think about stress on the axles, ball joints and brakes. If you have the $$$ to deal with the inevitable follow-up mods, go 35s.
