the physical programmer does not stay on your jeep. you just put it on to program and then pull it off of the obdii. you can revert everything back to stock just as easily and the scan tool will not detect that your computer had been programed.

AEV pro cal is a must have if you have larger tires or changed your gears. I was nervous too but instructions are easy and it's just a plug and play system.
