Tire wear
Hello guys,
I have a '08 4 door Rubicon on a 2' front ride leveling coil lift, stock shocks, winch, riding on BFG 33" KM2's plus wheel spacers. The Jeep tracks straight, steering is tight, shocks appear to be good (nice rebound & no leaks), I do have the alignment done from time to time and it's generally right on. My first set of tires wore great, my second and third set are getting this "every other row" high low wear pattern, this is only in the front as the rears are perfect. Vehicle has 51k on it, I have towed it behind the M H for about 30k. Ideas?
Thanks in advance
Steve

Thanks for the quick replies. I'll start with shocks as I believe the tires are in good balance. What shock would you recommend for a jeep that sees 70% city/hwy, 20% mud and snow and 10% trails with some 3 to 3.5's sprinkled in?
Shocks really are personal preference.
Personally I really like my Bilstein 5100's, some say they are too stiff, especially on a two door.
The same rule applies with shocks as other Jeep parts: you get what you pay for. Not saying go spend an arm and a leg on them, but don't go bargain basement either. I've heard really good things about the the Rancho 9000's, and they aren't very expensive, and they are adjustable. They might be something to consider.
