Tire and wheel sizes ????
As others have mentioned as you go up in wheel diameter, tire cost rise considerably. My 35x12.50 KM2's were over $100 cheaper each in the 15" size than the 17". For a daily driver, I'd run 17" wheels and tires. For a weekend toy, I'd run 15" wheels without question. Those saying sizes past 35" aren't avaialbe in 15" diameter are partially correct. There aren't many street friendly larger sizes available, but there are plenty of agressive tires in 37, 42, and even 44" diameters such as Pit Bull Rockers and 4 or 5 different Interco Super Swamper designs.

This is the explination I was given... the center molds for 15s have been around for longer and have paid for themselves so cost and profit vs new diameters like 17-20+ which havent paid for the new equipment.
I'm not sure that makes sense to me unless like cooper or toyo uses the same center mold/cut and the tread design is irrelevant. But like I said that's how it was explained to me
