Thumbs up duratrac's

I have been running duratrac's for a few months now, highway and trail. love them so far. There has not been enough snow yet but i think they will be good on it as well.

If money is no object, I would go with BFG All Terrains. I went with Nitto Terra Grapplers (295/75/16 - just over 33") because a set of four was about $200 less than the BFGs. I am very happy with the Nittos, but I have only had them for a little over one thousand miles. So I can't say how they work in snow or how long they will last.

Why would you say that BFG A/Ts are worth paying a premium price for?

I just got the duratracs. I liked the procomp XAT's, but the duratracs just looked beefier. Stock 2dr X, not getting a lift anytime soon. 265/75/16 and I cried when I saw the difference between my lame stock 225/75/16's. Actually cried. So far, so good, they ride excellent, handled well in the rain the past couple days, quiet on the Hwy and I can't wait to see what they do on the trail.

I got the load range C, not E.

I'll try and post a before and after picture tomorrow.

I've got Toyo Open Country AT's (305/70R16's) and they work great! Quiet as stock on the road and perform exceptionally well off road as well.
I will be looking at getting these again when they're worn out cept maybe bigger ones LOL.

Great tire in my opinion for the type of driving I do. Mostly road with off road weekend fun. For the rougher stuff I take the TJ

I have had BFG ATs on 5 different vehicles in the past 15 years or so, and one with BFG Mud Terrains. All were great tires and got a lot of miles out of them. The only draw back to them is they crack a lot in the tread area after about 4 years. So if you don't drive enough miles to wear them out in about 4 years, you should replace them because of cracks.

Toyo open country's and Nitto Terra Grapplers are the same tire... Toyo and Nitto are sister companies. Here,

Nitto Terra Grappler:

I hope you like the Duratracs, those are my next choice after my terra's wear out!
