"Aspect Ratio is the ratio of the height of the tire's cross-section to its width. On our example, 65 means that the height is equal to 65% of the tire's width."

The diameter of the tire (75) is probably the same as the 70 in the wider tire. It has a lower number because the aspect ration changes cause the tire is wider. The sidewall is probably exactly the same between the 70 and 75 in your example.

Make sense?

P.S.: I just bought 305/70-16 BFG AT KO's - - awsome tire and almost 12.5 wide.

Try 315/70R17 or just 35x12.50R17
