Question tires pros & cons...

ok, so my jk has the 3.73´s... and i already got the teraflex 2.5 bb lift. i will use the stock sahara 18" wheels, so i wanna get the spidertrax 1.5" spacers; and i want to run 35" tires. anything i should know before i buy the tires, am i gonna get a good clearance with this size? is 33" better? my biggest concern is rubbing...

does somebody knows a brand that makes 2" wheel spacers? i know i´ve seen a jk with those around here....

I don't know about spacers, but from what I have read on this site running 35s with 3.73 will result in significant power loss. I pondered tire size for a very long time and decided on 33s. Everyone has their own opinion, but I believe the consensus is that the power loss is disappointing enough to go smaller.

The tire width, not the diameter, are what the spacers make room for...so 33's and 35's would be about the same, assuming you mean in a 12.5" section width...like a 305 -315-ish equivalent.

For that size, the 1.5" wheel spacers seem to be fine...as no spacer is necessary for 285's/11.5" section width tires...adding one inch more section width, technically, adds only 1/2" more inboard protrusion....and the rest is to compensate for the lowered back spaced tire swinging in a wider arc, and potentially hittin more stuff as you turn, etc.

People with 2.5" BB's seem happy with 35's....and either new rims with less BS, or spacers.

Me, I'd leave off the articulation robbing bumpstop extensions, and do a 1" 35's.

It's gonna be anemic with 35s without regearing.

i would not go any larger than 33's without regearing. I had the opportunity to run 33's on my 3.73'd Jk and i'm glad i did because i was looking at 35's but now i will stick with 33's
