Default tires - white lettering

The tires I ordered didn't come in plain black (in my size). I suppose I will have to reverse mount them, but was wondering if anyone knows a trick to get rid of the outlined white letters that will be on the inside?

Black paint marker works well, available at any Wal-mart craft area for 2 bucks! Sharpies and felt markers don't. Found that out on my last tires.

While I prefer blackwalls to the white letters, I do not like look of reverse mounting, especially in taller vehicles like a JK where you can see the white letters, just on the inside of the tire.

Not jabbing at anyone who does reverse mount, its just I did it in the past and was disappointed with the look. Looked like I was trying to hide something.

Anyway, I have nearly worn the white off my tires with what I would consider not too much offroading. I have no other advice as to how to get rid of the white.

Also, I am reminded of a commercial for a tire shop where their slogan was "Tires ain't pretty!"

What's the big hype with not having white letters facing outwards of the vehicle? I find them pretty nice...

In the arts and crafts section. Uni-Paint I think.

For me, since the white letters tend to wear off, they don't look as good for as long as black walls or black letters. Brand new I think white letters look good though.

Someone probably has whitewalls out on their Wrangler somewhere. I have not seen one yet, but there must be one!
