tires - white lettering
The tires I ordered didn't come in plain black (in my size). I suppose I will have to reverse mount them, but was wondering if anyone knows a trick to get rid of the outlined white letters that will be on the inside?
While I prefer blackwalls to the white letters, I do not like look of reverse mounting, especially in taller vehicles like a JK where you can see the white letters, just on the inside of the tire.
Not jabbing at anyone who does reverse mount, its just I did it in the past and was disappointed with the look. Looked like I was trying to hide something.
Anyway, I have nearly worn the white off my tires with what I would consider not too much offroading. I have no other advice as to how to get rid of the white.
Also, I am reminded of a commercial for a tire shop where their slogan was "Tires ain't pretty!"

For me, since the white letters tend to wear off, they don't look as good for as long as black walls or black letters. Brand new I think white letters look good though.
