Default TJ wheels - too much backspacing?

I'm fairly sure I know the answer (won't work) however wanted to double check here.

I have the chance to pick up a set of 15" Champion Beadlocks with 35x1250 BFG muds fairly cheap. However, they came off a TJ.

The wheels have 3.75 backspacing. I would need the Spidertrax adapters which are 1.25 thick.

So with this combo, it would be the same as if I ran a wheel with 2.5 backspacing right? Would ANY of the tire be under the fender??? What other issues would I be up against?

re-read my post. I know the bolt pattern is different. I would use Spidertrax adapters. change from 5on5 to 5on4.5 to match the wheels.

Sorry, I read spidertrax and my brain filled in the rest being spacers and not adapters.
I have the mickey Thompsons 17 x 9 with 4-1/2 backspacing running 295/70/17.
The tires are about 1 inch or so outside the fenders.

hope this helps
