Default Toe in setting?

Just installed my TF 2.5 coil lift. Going to take it for an alignment. Curious to know if I should get them to set the toe in to a specific point? I have 33 inch tires and I am waiting on my jks track bar to center the axle. Will the uncentered axle affect anything? Thanks!

I set mine 1/8th toe in, most shops align in degrees so its best to set toe yourself. With the lift you installed all you should have to do is center the steering wheel really.

It's off a good bit from what I measured. And want to see how off my castor was because of the flighty driving. Lookin at aev brackets too

1/8th inch works good.

If the shop has a real alignment machine they can easily set the machine to rear inches instead of degrees. Your toe won't change because of the lift but it is good to change the setting with the larger tires.

If you don't have the adjustable lower control arms your caster will not be able to be adjusted so it doesn't make any sense to get an alignment. All you need to do is adjust your drag link to center your steering wheel.

So I would be wasting my money if my castor cannot be adjusted??

Pretty much yes.

I had a budget boost installed in my JK for a while running 33's and after I installed the budget boost all I did was adjust my drag link to center the steering wheel. I didn't even put it on the rack.

After I got tired of the budget boost I installed the Rock Krawler 2.5" X Factor Plus and needed to put the Jeep on the rack because everything became adjustable.

If you don't have anything adjustable it is not even worth checking the alignment. All you will do is look at it and say "I wish I had adjustable arms!"

So getting the toe in set wouldn't be any help? I'm just really concerned about the tracking for now. Doesn't the castor just control the flightyness of the driving?? Tryin to dissect my wobble issue

Toe in will help but it isn't 100% needed.

Castor will prevent death wobble as well.

Gotcha. I have a friend that's giving me the aev drop brackets for the arms until I can get the money for adjustables. Just really wanted to see how far off the castor is right now vs after putting the brackets on. Just trying to do 1 thing at at time to see what cures it

Totally understandable. For the alignment that you need it shouldn't take more than an hour and a half to check it and adjust the toe and steering wheel.
