TOYO MT prices.
Hi Forum
I am looking at getting a replacement tire 33x12.5R18 Toyo M/T......now before you go off on 18" tires....it's not for my JK....but for my Dodge Ram CTD. I know a few people have the 18's on their JK's. I am wondering what you paid for that size of tire???? I love this tire on my truck and has worked out really well for the conditions I drive in. I can't got any bigger like a 35" as it would cause issues with my 5th wheel as I already have the trailer axles flipped and can only spare a few inches.
I just got quoted $445/tire CDN.
Now with that price I

I am actually looking at going across the border with my Diesel into Idaho/Montana or Washington State to get them mounted if I can get a MUCH CHEAPER price than that. However, with the Canadian Dollar taking a kicking it may not be worth it.

I recently had a sidewall cut and had to buy a new 33x11.5" (285/75R16) Toyo MT. Last year I paid $246 each and this year it was up to $300 each. I can't imagine an 18" wheel would be that much more. Call around -- prices change significantly from one dealer to the next.
BTW, don't forget that if you get Toyo tires in the US, you'll have to pay customs GST/PST, plus approx. $20 duty per tire (they're made in Japan, and there's no "free trade" deal with Japan).

That is where I would skip out on the duties and taxes....I would run my nearly worn out Toyo M/T's on my Diesel and get the new M/T's mounted down in the states and drive a few dirt roads and get them looking alittle worn and used before i cross the border.
SHHHHHHH....don't tell Revenue Canada or Canada Customs on me....
