The duratracs will be better in the snow and ice, but the toyos will be better off road. I run trail grapplers which are almost identical to the toyos, and they do good in the snow and fairly well on ice

The tires are really in completely difference classes. The Toyos are a very HD, medium-aggressive mud terrain. The Duratracs are a very-agressive all terrain. That said, with the siping the Duratracs are probably much better for snow and ice. The Toyos will win out in general offroad, mud and rocks.

I've had the Toyo MTs and they were pretty darn good in snow/ice all considering.

Me personally, I love the look of the duratracs, but if you're looking for a mud tire and wheel often, its not the tire if you compare the two.

The Duratracs carry the mountain/ snowflake symbol to certify them as a winter traction tire. This means they are rated for use on roads where chains are typically required.

Johnny, you've been running this tire for a while. I haven't. How do you like your Duratracs in the mud? Be honest now!! =)

Nice driving man. I've been debating between Duratracs and KM2s for a hot minute... still debating. So many factors. Tall and skinny, versus fat and wide... damn my wish list.
