Default Tpms

Just had new BFG Mud Terrains installed on my 08 wrangler x. Now my tpms light comes on all the time. Any ideas? I used the stock wheels.

Check tire pressure? Did the light come on as you left the installer or a day or week after? If it was as you left I'd assume they damaged a TPS unit in the wheel.

Make certain that all your wheels are set at the same PSI, including the spare.

Also your tire pressure has to above the minimum listed for the stock tire. Example. My rubi with stock tires, the min is 35 psi. Light come on at 34psi. If this is your problem, the dealer can lower the alarm pressure. Don't know to what extent though..

Correct. Dealer can flash to 28 psi min. However, the question is, what size tires were put on? If you went with wider tires, like the 12.5" and you decide to inflate to 35psi to keep the tpms light off, you will wear down the center strip of the tire. You will get a "Reverse Mohawk". Furthermore, your traction will be limited as not much of the tire surface will actually contact the ground. The stock rims were not meant to accomodate the larger width tires.

My suggestions would be:
1. Have dealer flash to 28 psi and only inflate to that point. or
2. Get larger rims to accomodate a the wider tire, and inflate to manufacturers specs.

Good luck.
