I'm going from KM2's to Trail Grapplers, on the same existing rim. Why would any work need to be done to the TPMS (replace or repair) increasing the price of my purchase from Discount Tire?
As you can see in the pics, those pcs are simple pcs that take alot of abuse and most older style stems were changed alot... Plus these Systems are badly effected by just the Air in them...Alot of Drivers use other means of inflation to the tires besides just pumped Air....

It is recommended to replace the components of sensors that are susceptible to abuse...Pretty much like replacing the old style rubber stem...I never reused old ones

It's balony , if they were working before , they will work after the new tires . They are full of b.s. . I have after market rims and used the original tpms 's . I ended breaking three out of four of them off on rocks anyway and just replaced them with standard rubber style.I don't care if the light on my dashboard is on , I am used to it already . I air down everytime I wheel and air back up when I'm done , so I always know my pressure .
