Default TPMS - Replace with the new wheels?

Are you guys putting TPMS back in your replacement rims or just leaving them out? I don't really see the benefit.

I transferred my stock tpms sensors to my new rims. Worked great. Only chimes once on airdown (I have a 09)and no annoying dash light all the time.

I opted not to put them in my new wheels. I have a Flashpaq so I just re-programmed the computer to turn off the TPMS system. I didn't see the point in paying to have them moved from my old wheels OR to buy new ones. For that price you could put it towards the Flaspaq and turn them off plus MUCH more!

Swapped mine to the new wheels, the cost was $1.00 more per valve stem.

Yeah, they are easy to remove and re-install in your replacement rims. Because I use mine as a DD I'd like to have the light come on if there is an issue with tire pressure. Thought in the US you had to have them if your vehicle was equipped with them?

I should have also mentioned that I got new wheels and tires. So it didn't seem worth un-mounting my stock tires from the wheels to just pull them out.

Yeah that would make a difference, I did my tires and wheels at different times so only had to add the cost of the tpms stems to the mount/balance cost

if you wheel your jeep, leave em out. They could get crushed/damaged inside the wheel. I took mine out, and used a procal to turn off tpms.
All tires lose air.

So for those of you that didn't reinstall TPMS - are you interested in selling your old sensors?

Is TPMS required for inspection if it was originally on the Jeep?
