Default TPMS sensors

How many TMPS sensors can be run
I have the standard 5 wheels plus one extra spare. The extra spare can I put on a TMPS sensor or will that be more than the trucks computer can handle?

Or does he have five tires and six TPMS sensors in case he breaks a valve stem on the trail?

Default Tpms

I trying to set up to have two spare for the jeep. During everyday driving I can have a set of almost new tires and when I get ready to go crawling I can change the rear two to the spares (I seem to damage, get excessive wear on the rears).

I was wondering about the sensors because I have heard different response to running the Jeep without one of the TPMS sensor.

Or another question might be what happens if you run the jeep without a TPMS sensor on one wheel

okay, i would think you should be fine carrying a 6th wheel with a sensor installed. running a wheel without one sensor will trigger your tpms light to go off on your dash. of course, if you have something like an aev procal or superchips programmer, you can just turn off your tpms altogether.

Can someone with a procal or superchips programmer use it to turn off my TPMS's or does the programmer stay with the Jeep? I don't want to buy one just for that one adjustment.

Programmers are tied to the jeep
