Track bar with bracket?
I am installing a 2.5 RC this week. It is only temperary, I will be ordereing a FT 3" in probably around 6 months or less. My ? is if i order a FT front trac bar, do i still need a relocater bracket. Northridge's description of the product says it is good for 2" - 4 " lifts. I really dont want to purchase a bracket for the front If i dont need to but Im just not sure. And will a rear bracket relocater work for me or should I order a rear bar as well now? Rear bracket with adjustible trac bar? This forum has been a huge help in my planning, Thanks.
No bracket is needed for an adjustable trac bar. So you'll be set with just the bar.

I think the concensus is that the relocation brackets aren't a good thing. Seems it's better to get adjustable track bars.....that is IF you even need to do anything at all. I hav a 2" BB on mine and it made no difference at all as far as the axles or steering wheel goes .
the relocation brackets raise the roll center of the suspension, returning the on-road dynamics back to factory specs after the lift. an extended trac-bar can not compensate for the changed roll center, since the pivot point is still in the same place.

OK, whatever. Do a search and you'll come up with a good number of people who've suffered broken stuff because of the track bar brackets. This horse has been beaten in the ground.

If you buy a adjustabel trackbar you do not need a bracket at all unless you purchase a lift kit that requires a "drop" FRAME bracket like the FT 4" ultimate or long arm drops the trackbar down and still uses a adjustable trackbar.
FT or JKS trackbar will work without any brackets at all.

I think people should have the information and make their own choices - if you have a problem with that go kick your dog or something.
Absolutely correct. And we must all remember not all trackbar brackets are the same. I.e. Currie and Clayton...
